Our Doctor

Dr. Stipe is a native of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania (known as the heart of Amish country) and is owner/founder of Noah's Ark Animal Hospital. He holds a B.S. degree in Dairy and Animal Science from The Pennsylvania State University, and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (D.V.M.) degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine., which included a year of clinical study at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Stipe founded Noah's Ark Animal Hospital in the fall of 2000 as the culmination of a life-long dream. He has always had a love of animals and knew that he wanted to be a veterinarian since he was in kindergarten. Even though he is currently a small animal veterinarian, growing up in Lancaster county, Dr. Stipe gained extensive experience with, owned and showed dairy cattle, and enjoys any opportunity to spend time on the farm. Dr. Stipe has a special interest in anesthesia and surgery and was the recipient of the Small Animal Anesthesia Proficiency Award, an award given to one individual of each graduating class at Ross University.

Dr. Stipe is married to Ralanda, whom with he shares eight of life's greatest blessings. He and Ralanda resided in St. Kitts (an island in the Lesser Antilles of the Carribean) for 2 1/2 years while he was attending Ross University. During that time they were very active in mission work and came to know, and eventually adopt, their oldest child (daughter) Giovanna. At first she was feeling a little outnumbered as five brothers were added to the family: Scott Jr., Noah, Joshua, Caleb, and Uriah. Eventually, two sisters, Naomi and Leah came along to help even things out a little. The family also includes a managerie of dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens and ducks, all living locally on the family farm.

Dr. Stipe's interests outside of work includes music (instrumental and vocal), gardening, farming and, most of all, spending time doing these activities with his family.
